I'm a female trainer who has personally benefited from a realistic and manageable training progamme which was also fun!
Fitness does not have to be boring, massively expensive or time consuming. Personal training really is personal. Every programme I design is tailored to a specific individual with specific goals.
I specialise in:

- resistance training (muscular strength and endurance)

- lifestyle changes
I can come to you, you can come to me, or we can meet in a park. Not being tied to a gym means more flexibility. It's a big step but personal training has lots of benefits and can be fun :-)
Why did I start training in the first place? A number of reasons.
On the few occasions I have had to take prescription medication I haven't tolerated it very well so, better to be fit and not have to take it unless I absolutely have to. There is a history of osteoporosis in my family and I was aware that regular weight bearing exercise would help my bone density levels. I was finding it harder and harder to lose any weight without starving myself. Rather than run for a bus or a train I'd wait for the next one - no matter how long that took! My energy levels were low most of the time. Yes, there was some vanity involved as well! 'Bingo Wings'! Need I say more.
Now, I eat well, sleep well and have loads of energy.

“Being tall and reasonably aerobically fit because of my activities I wanted a programme that would target core strength and flexibility, something I knew I was lacking but that could only help me enjoy my sports further. I was also concerned that whatever I did would not increase muscle bulk or add any additional weight. Nicky understood my requirements and the logic behind them and, having established whether my goals were sensible, created a programme for me. As well as detailed written instructions she also created excellent video tuition and the two worked well together to remind me of how my form should be during exercise and how much it should hurt! I am now into the second part of the programme and I'm very pleased with the results. Core strength is making a big difference when playing football, cycling and windsurfing (not at the same time!).
