Although “over sixty”, I like to practise what I preach and am a very enthusiastic trainer in the gym keeping myself in as good a shape as possible – which helps me pass on my knowledge to the clients. Personal Training is an area that I am looking forward to – Give me a call! – I will be delighted to help!

Although experienced in working with all ages, my specialist area has to be helping the older client. We need to understand that the modern gym is a very daunting place for people who have not played sport for several years and are very conscious of their fitness level and body shape (wearing shorts does not come easy!).
Perhaps they need to be welcomed by someone of a similar age who can greet them and put them at ease. All gyms need to have at least one older instructor. I also feel that my Exercise Referral qualification could be used to benefit the gym and local clients.
